Something that connects me to my country, time and again, is it’s rich heritage and culture.Whenever I come across individuals from different nationalities, it gives me immense pleasure to share our culture and how uniquely we are different in our own ways. Taj-3D is dedicated to my country India and it’s people, remembering how beautiful we are in our diversity
Taj Mahal is an epitome of love and incredible architecture. I had a chance to 3D print a prototype of this beauty using FDM and simple biodegradable materials like PLA. The structure was the size of your fist and took about an hour to complete.
The whole system is simple, portable, easy to use and make. You need a simple CAD configuration for your drawing, an SD card to transfer the drawing from the CAD modeling software to the printer and you’re all set!
Kindly watch this video for better understanding on the process

The surface finish and resolution for every layer, support structure, is good enough, but the geometry is not that smooth. Also, in order to remove the extra protrusions, you need simple filing or machining.
My next blog for creating 3D printed Taj Mahal will take care of all these little imperfections and describe another technique for precise and smooth 3D printing, known as Stereolithography, so stay tuned and follow me for further updates!
Until then, think of all the things you have been awe inspired by !!!!
ays wanted to make yourself and I’ll make it possible for you!
